Baby Bunny Booties






Materials

  •  1 x 50g ball of Jenny Watson Babysoft DK in pink or any DK/Light Worsted weight yarn in pink
  •  1 x 50g ball of Jenny Watson Babysoft DK in white or any DK/Light Worsted weight yarn in white
  •  Yarn needle for sewing
  •  E/4 (3.5mm) crochet hook or any hook to obtain correct gauge

This pattern is crocheted in continuous rounds, turning your work clockwise and crocheting into the foundation chain spaces after your first row.
The suggested yarns will be sufficient for more than one pair of shoes.

Bunny Shoe (make two)
Round 1
Using W and an E/4 (3.5mm) crochet hook, ch 13 (16, 19, 22), 2dc in 2nd st from hook, 1dc in next 10 (13, 16, 19) sts, 2dc in last st – (14, 17, 20, 23)

Round 2
With right side facing, turn your work clockwise and crochet into your foundation row sts with 2dc in 1st foundation row st, 1dc in next 10 (13, 16, 19) sts, 2dc in last st – (28, 34, 40, 46 total sts from rounds 1 and 2).

Round 3
1dc in next st, 4dc in next st, 1dc in next 11 (14, 17, 20) sts, 4dc in next st, 1dc in next st, 4dc in next st, 1dc in next 11 (14, 17, 20) sts, 4dc in last st – (40, 46, 52, 58)

Round 4

Ears (make four)
Round 1
Using P and an E/4 (3.5mm) crochet hook, ch 11, 2dc in 2nd st from hook, 1dc in next 3 sts, 1hdc in next st, 1sc in last 5 sts – (11)

Round 2
With right side facing, turn your work clockwise and crochet into your foundation row sts with 2sc in 1st foundation row st (same st as your last st on round 1), 1sc in next 4 sts, 1hdc in next st, 1dc in last 4 sts – (22 total sts from rounds 1 and 2)

Round 3
Join W with a sc, 1sc in ea st around – (22)

Finishing
Fasten off and thread your remaining tail yarn to the bottom of your bunny ear, use starting tail yarn and end tail yarn to sew your ear onto your bunny shoe.

Repeat for other ears.
 sew a criss-cross mouth onto your bunny shoe at the front and some eyes. You can make eyes by knotting some yarn a few times and then fixing by tying on inside of shoe.
